Adult Contemporary Reviews
1: Britney Spears - Blackout (6.8/10)
In the 24/7 news coverage of Britney Spears' self destruction, and slow spiral downward towards unwitting parody, it's easy to see how her 5th studio album's release got lost in the noise. The real shocker, however, seems to be the almost universally positive reviews for it.
2: Pink "I'm Not Dead" (7.5/10)
Alecia Moore, otherwise known as Pink, seemed a breath of fresh air when she first appeared in 1999. Fiesty, tattooed and pierced, she was a world away from the 'MTV babe' image of Jessica Simpson - indeed, she actively marketed herself as the 'anti-Britney'.
3: Colbie Caillat - CoCo (6/10)
Rolling Stone highlighted her as one of the top female artists on Myspace. For four months, she was the number one unsigned artist, and garnered over 14 million plays. She is the daughter of former Fleetwood Mac producer Ken Caillat, which many believe is the reason for her popularity.
